An Evaporator Fan draws air from the refrigeration system and blows it over the Evaporator Coils. The liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the air and the air blows back into the refrigerator at a lower temperature, cooling the refrigeration system. The liquid refrigerant starts to vaporize as it heats up and moves to the compressor.

Just recently we had one of our talented technicians Aaron attend a call out to a fast food restaurant and found the Evaporator Coil for the Salad Bar Prep Fridge was leaking refrigerant and causing the system to over heat.

Unfortunately it was a custom made cabinet and there was no pre-made evaporator coil available. However, at Southcoast Refrigeration we go the extra mile to provide the best possible outcome for our clients. Aaron was able to work with the engineers to have a custom made evaporator coil made, measuring at 2600m in Fin Length. We worked with the client and carried out our work after hours to avoid disruption to their daily trade and had the cabinet up and running the next morning ready to go!!
